Before heading into the Park on the Fall River side, this is the stop for a ranger's straight answer on trails, road conditions and what's open. It sits by the Fall River entrance, next to Rocky Mountain Gateway. The helpful rangers and staff are what people remember, along with a large gift shop, a Rocky Mountain Conservancy nature store, clean restrooms and a few animal displays. A recorded Trail Ridge Road status line runs around the clock, worth knowing on days the high road closes. Food, drinks and pets stay outside. Wheelchair accessible and easy with kids.
