About
Free bike park inside Stanley Park with pump tracks, skills loops, and single track. It works for a five-year-old on a balance bike and for someone who wants to jump things. Locals use it all the time, so say hi.
The Stanley Park Bike Park is at 690 Big Thompson Ave, inside the Stanley Park sports complex. It covers about two miles of riding: a half-mile of skills loops, about a third of a mile of pump tracks in interlocking loops (dirt and paved), and roughly a mile and a quarter of single track connecting them. It's open to all ages and abilities. Runners, dog walkers, and horseback riders share the outer trail, so look up and slow down. You can rent bikes at Estes Park Mountain Shop, and helmets come with the rental.
It's free and open from sunrise to sunset, year-round when the weather cooperates. In winter the surface can ice up, and snowshoers and skiers use the trails too.
My advice: start on the pump track, even if you're good. It's a fun warm-up and it shows you who's riding what. Wear a helmet whether anyone checks or not. The dog park and playground are right next door, so it's a good family stop.
