Rafting days usually start with a long drive to the river, and this outfit's pitch is that it handles the driving. Rapid Transit works out of Virginia Drive downtown, next to the Sugar Shack and Fudge Factory, and carries people straight to the water. Half-day trips are the popular choice, with full days and family trips also on the list. The guides get the credit, knowledgeable and funny in roughly equal parts, and the drivers know the road. Bald eagles turn up on some trips. It calls itself Estes Park's only hometown rafting company.
