Every spring Brownfield's opens with an entirely new stock, and every fall it closes in early November with a rummage sale that locals line up for. In between, it's the shop on East Elkhorn, next to The White Orchid and a few doors from Poppy's Pizza & Grill, where a good share of visitors pick up the hoodie. Sweatshirts are the other big seller, with stickers and magnets close behind.
The better reason to stop is the advice. Staff hand out hiking trail information and will help plan a Park day, and that gets talked about as much as anything on the racks. Open 10 to 8, closed Sundays, and gone entirely from November until spring.
