Thousands of belt buckles fill the cases at this West Elkhorn shop, billed as one of the largest collections in the world, maybe the largest. Western, military, trade and profession, initials and big statement pieces are all here, along with current Hesston National Finals Rodeo buckles in the adult and youth editions. Collectors hunting one particular buckle usually find it here, and it makes a gift with some weight to it.

It has been downtown for more than a quarter century, and it is as much a leather store as a buckle shop. Custom belts, fringe jackets, chaps and motorcycle leathers draw riders. Wallets, purses, hats, boots, knives and keychains fill in the rest.

The staff are helpful, and most people end up browsing far longer than they meant to. It sits next to Sports Hound and Toy Mountain, a block from Bond Park. Hesston buckles can be ordered through the order line and shipped.
