About
Tie-dye is the project most people leave with from the Mootz Family Craft and Design Center, on the YMCA of the Rockies grounds next to the Lula W. Dorsey Museum. But the list runs much longer: mosaics, ceramics, jewelry making, silk painting, fused glass and leatherwork.
Staff walk first-timers through each project, so nobody needs a background in any of it. Ceramics and jewelry making run close behind tie-dye, and fused glass is the one to try after the rest. That makes it a solid rainy-afternoon plan for anyone staying up near Beaver Meadows, and it's open every day of the week. The YMCA's aquatic center is a short walk away.
