Glen Haven is a short stretch of buildings on County Road 43, and the Inn of Glen Haven sits in the middle of it, steps from the General Store, with White Elk's Visions in Glass right next door. The inn is historic, the rooms are themed, and some come with a private patio. It's a quiet base well away from downtown traffic, about six miles past Lake Estes.
The dining room is why many people come: fine dining, a good wine list and a flourless chocolate cake that gets mentioned by name. Breakfast means cinnamon buns. The hosts are kind, and elk sometimes wander by. The wine list gets nearly as much praise as the food.
