A short walk from Mary's Lake, on Lakewood Court a little under three miles from downtown, there's a big Alpine-style house that used to run as a bed and breakfast. It now rents by the suite. The Aspen Suite, booked through Voyago, has two bedrooms (a double queen bunk in one, a king in the other), a full bath, a fireplace in the living area and a kitchenette with a four-burner cooktop, small oven and mini fridge.
The house sits on eight private acres with landscaped gardens and mountain views, and the suite has its own outdoor space with a private hot tub. The owners live in another suite in the house. The hosts and the grounds are what people remember.
Plan meals around the kitchenette, since there's no full-size fridge. The Park entrance and downtown are each a few minutes away by car, so dinner in town doesn't turn into an expedition.
