Four cottages sit along the Big Thompson River on Riverside Drive, each named for a lake in the Park: Fern, Dream, Emerald and Bear. They have been putting up mountain travelers for more than 75 years, and no two are furnished alike. All four are housekeeping cottages, cleaned before arrival and again after departure.
The river is the whole point. Most guests talk about the view of it and the sound of it, and downtown is an easy walk, a couple of blocks away. Inside it is simple, small and warm, clean on arrival, with coffee pots ready and quiet at night. The Park entrances are a short drive away.
June and Kenny Adair own the place and split their year between Jonesboro, Arkansas and Estes, and they are a big part of what people remember. Book by calling or messaging them with dates. No smoking and no pets, and stays can run a night, a week or a month.
