A hundred and ten full-hookup sites fill this long-running RV park on Riverside Drive, a mile and a half from downtown, and the Big Thompson River runs straight through it. The river is what people remember: creekside sites, the sound of water, elk walking through. Sites are gravel and on the tight side, with fire pits and picnic tables, and there is a playground. Pets are allowed.
Riverside lots are in high demand and are only booked by request, online or by phone, so ask early. Tents are not allowed, and rigs over 38 feet are turned away. Stays run from a single night to a whole summer, and guests can fish the river on site or the sister property's trout pond on Moraine Avenue. Good Sam discounts have to be mentioned when booking.
