A hiking trail on the property is the first thing guests bring up, followed closely by the river. Fall River runs a long stretch through the fourteen forested acres here, with spots to fish or just sit, and the land borders Rocky Mountain National Park about a mile and a half up Fall River Road from downtown.
There are thirteen themed cabins, with names like Aztec, Dreamcatcher and Black Bear, along with rooms in a mountain lodge and a river lodge and a few stream suites. The renovated Lodge sleeps up to sixteen, which helps with a family gathering.
Evenings center on the fire pits and the hot tub, and there is a basketball court for anyone with energy left. The cabins run rustic rather than polished, and they are kept clean. Weddings are hosted on the grounds too. Wildlife wanders through the property, and the resort puts on light shows some evenings.
