A little over a mile west of downtown on West Elkhorn, Riverview Pines sits on four and a half acres along Fall River, with trout fishing right on the property.
Log cabins are the reason to book. The two-bedroom duplex cabins sleep up to six and come with full kitchens, a gas fireplace, a gas grill, a washer-dryer combo and a deck over the water. Riverfront queen rooms are smaller, with walkout patios, a mini fridge, a microwave and a coffee pot. A guest house rounds out the mix.
The hot tub, the creekside chairs and the picnic tables get as much attention as the rooms, and elk wander through often enough to be part of the stay. The property is smoke-free, some units take dogs for a fee, and there's a playground, a fire pit and guest laundry for longer trips. Couples tend to take a riverfront room, while reunions spread out across the cabins.
