About

Hummingbirds get mentioned almost as often as the cabins at Workshire Lodge, and elk turn up too. It is a small cabin resort on the banks of Fall River, three miles up Fall River Road from downtown and under a mile from the Fall River entrance, spread across several wooded acres.

Cabins sleep one to six, and each has a kitchen or kitchenette with cookware, a private gas grill, a flat-screen and Wi-Fi. Some have been newly remodeled. Clean rooms and comfortable beds are the steady theme. The office lends out games, cards and books, and the staff live in the valley and are glad to point you somewhere good.

Every cabin is non-smoking, marijuana and vaping included. Cancel more than seven days out and there is no charge. And in summer, the Park wants a timed-entry pass on top of the entrance fee, so sort that before the first morning.
