Quilting weekends at Mountains and Memories fill up well ahead, and the any-craft retreats are not far behind. The house on Aspen Brook Drive runs all-inclusive hosted retreats for scrapbookers, card makers, quilters and jewelry makers, with eight-foot table upgrades for people who spread out. All-inclusive means the group sets up and works without handling the logistics.
Groups that would rather keep their own schedule can rent it as a non-hosted retreat. Outside retreat dates it works as a private vacation home year-round, sleeping up to eight with a two-night minimum. Larimer County has approved it as a rental.
The Big Thompson River can be heard from the property, and the Beaver Meadows entrance is under two miles away. A sister house in Bailey hosts some of the retreats, so check which location a date belongs to before signing up. Estes Park Brewery and the free town shuttle are on the house's own list of things to do nearby.
