These are real log cabins, single-family homes in a resort community on Lake Estes, about a mile and a half from downtown off Colorado Peaks Drive. The cabins are roomy and clean, and the hot tub is what guests bring up most, with lake views and outdoor fireplaces close behind. Some cabins add private jacuzzis and indoor fireplaces as well.

Cabin guests share resort amenities with The Estes Park Resort & Spa next door, so the Qi Lounge spa and Ember Restaurant & Bar are a short walk away, along with a fitness facility. Homes go up to four bedrooms with full kitchens, and wildlife wanders through.

Stays run nightly, weekly, monthly or longer, and the office answers questions quickly. The property hosts plenty of weddings, and a few cabins are set up for wedding parties. Bicycle and boat rentals, bird watching and cross-country skiing in winter are among the extras offered through the office.
