The original taproom is a converted old gas station on South St. Vrain, next to Estes Park Shuttle, and the building gets as much talk as the beer. The pilsner is the one people single out, there is a seltzer for anyone off beer, and happy hour is worth timing. Locals and visitors share the same patio, which has mountain views of its own.

The patio is the place to be, dogs and kids welcome. Food comes from rotating food trucks or whatever you bring, so check the truck calendar before showing up hungry. Carryout is cans only, and a program called Brews Before I Dos handles private events and wedding parties. A second taproom, the Publick House, pours downtown on the main drag.
