At the top of the Aerial Tramway, the Hungry Chipmunk serves coffee and lunch with the whole valley laid out below. The view is half the reason to stop, and on a clear day it is worth lingering on the rooftop seats before riding back down.
The paninis are the order, with sandwiches close behind. The croissant sandwich and the spicy mayo both get mentioned, along with a quinoa salad, chocolate cookies and a good mocha. Gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian choices are on the menu, and breakfast is served.
There is rooftop and outdoor seating, a kids' menu and takeout, and prices stay low for a place with this view. Staff are kind and stay patient when the tram crowds arrive all at once. The cafe is up the tram, so plan it as part of the ride rather than a quick coffee run. It is a good spot to let kids refuel before heading back down.
