About

Coming off the 18-hole course, most golfers walk straight into this clubhouse tavern, and plenty of non-golfers drive out Golf Course Road for it too, about a mile and a half from downtown. It's one of the newer kitchens in the valley, modern American in style, with a full bar, mountain views and a casual room with the game on.

The salads come up more than anything on the menu, followed by the bolognese, the shrimp cocktail and a peach crumble worth saving room for. Breakfast is served, there's a kids' menu, takeout works, and prices sit at the low end for Estes.

It takes reservations and handles group events, which matters on summer weekends. Service is usually quick, though a full room can stretch the wait for food past half an hour, so don't plan it right before a tee time. Families, solo diners and a foursome after a round all fit.
