On Park Lane, right at the downtown crossroads, the dining room of the historic Prospect Inn turns out bison and elk more ways than most menus bother with. Bison is the headline, followed by trout, lamb chops, the elk burger, elk sirloin and an elk chop. Truffle fries and French onion soup are the starters people order again.

The bar runs to whiskey, wine and cocktails, prices are low for the street, and the patio takes dogs. Wild jackfruit tacos give a vegetarian something real to order. The music can run loud some nights. SEASONED and SereniTea's tea room are next door, and private rooms hold 32 or 50 for a rehearsal dinner.
