Off Prospect Village Drive, a short drive from downtown, Sweet Basilico does casual Italian in a big, roomy space by the river. Chicken parmesan is the dish that keeps coming up, then chicken marsala, mushroom ravioli and cannelloni. There's pesto pizza, lasagna bolognese, eggplant parmesan and gluten-free pasta, and the desserts are large enough to split.

The outdoor seats are popular, and the river view is part of why. Wine and cocktails get attention at the full bar. Reservations are recommended, and there's a kids' menu and takeout. Drivers with an electric car will find a Tesla charger right outside, which makes dinner and a top-up the same stop. Brunch is on the menu as well, for a slower start to the day.
