About
About two miles from the Fall River entrance, inside Rocky Mountain National Park, Horseshoe Park is a wide U-shaped valley above 8,500 feet with forest around the edges. Elk graze here often enough that pulling over is half the visit, and moose turn up too. There is a trailhead for anyone who wants to walk, the ground is easy with kids, and the area is listed as wheelchair accessible. Timed entry reservations apply in the busy season, so sort that out before driving up.
