About

One of downtown's small free stops is the water wheel, a short walk from Bond Park and the Riverwalk, with Park Tavern and Omnibus a few steps away. There is a statue, flower beds and water to watch, and it is open at any hour, so it works for a quiet look before the shops open.

Hummingbirds work the flowers in summer, and it makes an easy photo with kids. It is wheelchair accessible. Most people treat it as a pause between shopping and lunch rather than a destination, which is about right for a few minutes of quiet in the middle of town. The Hogback tasting room is a few doors away for the adults.
