The rental department is why most visitors end up at this shop on Big Thompson Avenue, out toward Lake Estes. Camping and climbing gear, bikes, snowshoes, downhill skis, snowboards and sleds all go out the door here, and snow boots come up constantly. Closeout stock lands in the bargain basement, which is worth a lap before buying new. Staff give trip recommendations and instruction, and the place is open 8 to 8 every day, Sunday included. Epic Climbing Gym is next door.
