Recent renovations are the first thing most guests notice at this simple hotel on Moraine Avenue, about a mile and a half from downtown on the way toward Beaver Meadows. The mountain view from the balconies is the second. Rooms have microwaves and comfortable beds, though the bathrooms run small. A fire pit, an outdoor heated pool and an American restaurant are on the property, so dinner doesn't mean driving back into town. Elk turn up on the grounds now and then.
