A covered bridge over Fall River is the way in to Castle Mountain Lodge, about a mile and a half up Fall River Road from downtown. The cabins are the draw: one to three bedroom cottages among tall pines, many with fireplaces, plus suites, rooms and private spa cottages with their own hot tubs. A shared hot tub and guest laundry cover everyone else.

The grounds keep people busy without the car. There is a disc golf course, a community fire pit, an ice cream social, and about 750 feet of stocked river frontage for fishing steps from the cabins. Wildlife is a regular part of the scenery. A dog and pet policy is posted and worth reading before bringing one.
