Inside The Lodge at The Stanley Hotel, a few steps from The Vault, this brunch room trades partly on its address. Plenty of people arrive for The Shining and the hotel, then settle in over a mimosa. Cascade's and the 217 Wine Bar are a few steps away.
The food holds up its end. Eggs Benedict, chicken and waffles, French toast, a breakfast burrito and biscuits and gravy are the plates that get ordered again and again, with a Bloody Mary or a mimosa on the side. The kitchen leans toward unusual takes and covers different diets, and there is a full bar and a kids' menu.
There are no reservations, though groups over twelve should send a request ahead. It is card only, no cash, and takeout and online ordering are available. A fireplace warms the room on cold mornings, there is live music at times, and dogs are welcome on the patio.
